After spending most of our lives in Western NC, we decided it was time to pack up everything we own and move our family to the beautiful rolling hills of East Tennessee. We sold our house on 5 acres, bought 30 acres in TN and began building our forever home.

The weather didn’t cooperate as much this week so we only got a few days in. But we did get our ridge beam set & secure, that was a beast at 36’ in length. We also managed to throw up some rafters on the highest point. We’re getting it closed in one day at a time!

Yes you read that right, both! We’re building a tiny barndo to live in while we complete construction on the larger barndo. Hence the names - The White Oak & The Acorn. Stay tuned as we start footers, plumbing and prep for concrete!
